Watkins Steel was contracted by Nev Patterson and Sons to complete the steel repairs to the roof of the fire damaged Logan Textiles building

The damage was extensive and required a carefully planned approach to execute the complex works in a safe and efficient manner.

Watkins was firstly responsible for the removal of the fire damaged items, the difficulties this tasks presents were swiftly overcome by expert planning and our on site team’s dexterity.

The second stage of the works consisted of four thousand and two hundred square meters of materials being manufactured and installed. Materials included rafters which were made from 700mm welded beams; purlins and crossbracing

The nature of the work allowed us to demonstrate our team’s superior attention to detail and well orchestrated Safe Work Methods. This ensures our onsite teams are always able to achieve optimal results regardless of any challenges their working environment may present to them.
